Spectacular growth Recruit a Student – 5 new settlements in Q1 2016

Employment organisation Recruit a Student opens up five new settlements in the first quarter of 2016. By opening new settlements in Leeuwarden, Apeldoorn, Enschede en Groningen national coverage is a fact. Also the ambition of going internation takes a lot more shape by starting with a settlement in Düsseldorf.

According to founders Remco Beijer en Jaap Dietz, there are multiple factors for the spectacular growth. “In our branch you pick the fruits first when the economy starts growing” tells Beijer. “But even in the latest recession we grew. For example, in 2014 we got a nomation for the Gazelle Award from the Financieel Dagblad. That was a confirmation that we we’re on the right track and that we build the right foundation”.

Dietz also points at the soft-franchise formula they recently applied. “Nowadays they call it the new entrepreneurship. Since we started in 1999, we believe in developing and stimulating new unique talent en responsibility from our employees. The franchise formula that stemmed from this believe is one that you can call unique” according to Dietz. “Beside that we are positively suprised that our formula is working abroad. We proved ourself in Great-Britain, Spain en Belgium. Now Germany is our challenge.”

The members of direction, Jaap and Remco, both agree on the way they look at the future: “It may sound silly, but we’re on our guard for growing to fast. The ‘we’ feeling is very important for us and Recruit a Student. Just like our unique way of working. We don’t rush and are reliable. The mutual bond with our franchisees is the most important thing. If there’s not a click, we don’t proceed. Growing quickly is not the most important.”
